COOKIE POLICY

WHAT THEY ARE

Cookies are small text strings that the sites visited by the user send to his terminal (usually to the browser), where they are stored and then sent back to the same sites the next time they are visited. Cookies are used for different purposes, have different peculiarities and can be used both by the owner of the site and by third parties.

TYPES OF COOKIES

The wide variety of cookies that exist in the web world makes it difficult to classify them in detail, so it is possible to draw up a general division of them by diving them into the following categories:

  • SESSION & PERSISTEN COOKIES

Cookies may expire at the end of a browser session or they may be stored for a longer period of time. Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies expire on a specific date or after a certain period of time and are stored on a user’s device between browser sessions and allow the user’s choices to be stored.

  • FIRST PARTY AND THIRD PARTY COOKIES

A cookie is defined as first party or third party based on its origin.

First party cookies are sent to the browser directly from the site being visited. They can be either persistent or session cookies and are generally managed directly by the owner and/or manager of the site and are used, for example, to ensure its technical functioning or keep track of expressed preferences regarding the use of the site. For these cookies, the obligation to provide information, to acquire any prior consent and/or the possible blocking of cookies is the responsibility of the owner of the site.

Third party cookies are cookies set by a domain different from that visited by the user. These types of cookies generally appear when web pages are provided with content, such as advertising banners, from external web sites. This involves the ability to track the user’s browsing history, and is often used by advertisers in an attempt to serve relevant and customized advertising to each user. For these cookies, the obligation to inform and indicate the methods for any consent and / or blocking of cookies is the responsibility of the third party.

  • TECHNICAL & PROFILING COOKIES

Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of “transmitting a communication over an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such a service” (art. 122, paragraph 1, Privacy Code). The installation of such cookies does not require the prior consent of users when used directly by the administrator of the site.

Profiling cookies are cookies designed to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user when surfing the web. European and Italian legislation requires that the user shall be properly informed about the use of the same, through a short notice (banner) and an extended one on the site, and that he must express his express consent to this the first time he visits the site. This consent is tracked during subsequent visits. However, the user always has the possibility to revoke all or part of the consent already expressed.

COOKIES USED ON THIS WEBSITE

This website uses cookies to collect session information and ensure other activities necessary for the website to function properly. Other types of cookies are saved in order to optimize the functionality of the website and the user’s browsing experience according to his/her preferences.

This website does not use profiling cookies.
